Under the Hostel Scheme, 38 Jannayak Karpoori Thakur hostels are operational in all districts for students of the Extremely Backward Class (EBC). In addition, 29 Anya Pichhda Varg hostels are functioning in 25 districts for students of the EBC and Other Backward Class (OBC) in a 60:40 ratio. Almost every hostel has a capacity of 100 beds. If seats are vacant, students from EBC and OBC categories may be admitted interchangeably in both types of hostels. The scheme also includes the Hostel Grant Scheme, under which each student receives monthly financial assistance of ₹1,000. It also includes the Hostel Food Grain Scheme, under which 15 kg of food grains, including wheat and rice, are provided to each student every month. These benefits support students in their education and overall development.
